Happy New Year 2010!!! I know its late to give my wish but still its a whole new year. 2009 was my training year and This year will be a very challenging & exciting year for me and I just love it. I just can't wait for tomorrow to come because my brain are packed with more & more new ideas & new ways of painting. Thanks for all the support and following my blog.
As to fulfill my promise to Philydorf for gave me his base, here's the end result of 1 of the his base. You can check out all the bases he gave me here. I had done many sculpting and conversion for it. You can cross reference with the WIP photo I've posted. I want to give the feeling of Thousand Sons invade Eldar colony/ruins, so I've added abit of Eldar bitz here & there. For the summoning spell, its like the daemon bring the sword from the warp which you can see the black tendril portal I've painted. The face on the base just like fallen Eldar God Asuryan statue.
I love the resin base very much. I just don't know how to explain the quality of it. But I can assure you that you have no regret buying it. Mr. Philydorf has started his own online store ResinFX. Check it out!
Hope you like this model. Enjoy....

Lovely scene, great work :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat looking fig there. I am envious of your yellow-tone blending and looking forward to what you do with the other bases.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a pretty paintjob. I'm with Dverning on the yellow blends--but I'm also quite fond of the OSL around the eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very very cool vignette - nice work! Lots of cool little details in the build, and the paint scheme is simple and striking.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what's next!

ReplyDeleteMagnificent work as usual. I love those flame details you've been incorporating into your Sons. I'll have to try that myself sometime.
ReplyDeleteAny chance we might be able to see what that daemon weapon looked like prior to paint?
Pretty damn cool, and you have Chinese fans.
ReplyDeleteI have to paint a sorcerer soon and I haven't decided on what model to use, but I'm going with Slaneesh for the plus one initiative, I've painted Tzeentch sorcerers before though.

ReplyDeleteGreat paint job, wonderful use of colors that compliment each other. Love the Deamon coming out of the base as well, adds a nice bit of detail, as well as drawing your eye around the model.
